Upon submission, a handling editor will be assigned. The journal aims to provide a timely and thorough peer-review process; typically, a first decision is reached within 1–3 months.
All submissions are reviewed by independent referees. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the recommendation of the handling editor.
Authors may also submit manuscripts directly to a member of the Editorial Board. In such cases, authors are responsible for maintaining communication with the handling editor regarding the progress of the submission.
